Personal Demons [book review]
Personal Demons
Author: Lisa Desrochers
Synopsis: Frannie Cavanaugh is a good Catholic girl with a bit of a wicked streak. She's spent years keeping everyone at a distance--even her closest friends--and it seems her senior year will be more of the same...until Luc Caine enrolls in her class. No one knows where he came from, but Frannie can't seem to stay away from him. What she doesn't know is that Luc works in Acquisitions--for Hell--and she possesses a unique skill set that has the King of Hell tingling with anticipation. All Luc has to do is get her to sin, and he's as tempting as they come. Frannie doesn't stand a chance.
Unfortunately for Luc, Heaven has other plans, and the angel Gabe, is going to do whatever it takes to make sure that Luc doesn't get what he came for. And it isn't long before they find themselves fighting for more than just her soul.
But if Luc fails, there will be Hell to pay...for all of them. (via GoodReads)

Wow, wow! There are no words to describe how AMAZING this read was. I have to give props to Lisa for creating such an alluring and sexy world. As much as I adore Luc and his "too hot to handle" self, Gabe is just my kind of guy; sweet, funny and I'm a sucker for his baby blue eyes. Plus he's an angel. What girl doesn't like a challenge? *cough* I wanna be the girl to clip his wings when the time is right. LOL... With that said, Frannie and Luc are meant for each other! So looks like i'll be keeping Gabe all to myself :)
Before Personal Demons was out on bookshelves I read a couple of reviews and they all had me at the edge of my seat waiting to go buy the book. All the reviews did it justice because this book IS sexy and good, so..soo good! I loved every aspect of it. I just can't tell you enough how much I loved it all. Especially how it wasn't just in Frannie's perspective it was also in Luc's. (Thank you Lisa, for that!) I cannot wait to see what will happen next. Oh and before I forget.. TEAM LUC!

Play With Me [book review]
Author: Janice Maynard
Synopsis: It begins with a champagne toast between three beautiful best friends--and a pact to make their deepest and naughtiest fantasies come true before their thirtieth birthdays. That means they have one year to make it happen, and no position is too compromising...
All it's going to take is finding the right man, capturing the perfect moment, and stirring up enough courage to issue the most provacative invitation of the year.
Play with me....
For Catherine, Kallie and Gina, the race is on. Who's going to cross the line first? (from the back of the book)

I'm going to start by saying that this was my first erotica so I might not give it that much of a fair review since i don't have much experience reading erotica. So here we go.. I would very much reccomend this book. I loved it. The story line, the characters, how it was written, everything! I especially loved how the stories aren't told from just the ladies' point of view. We also get to read the guys' point of view. It had a happy ending, which is a plus because most of the time these days there are rarely happy endings. Go pick up this book and tell me how much you enjoyed it!

The Breakup Bible [book review]
The Breakup Bible
Author: Melissa Kantor
Synopsis: Jen Lewis is having a great junior year. She is the features editor of the school paper, and she's dating Max Brown, the paper's editor-in-chief. Everything is perfect-that is, until Max says, "Maybe it would be better if we were just friends." In shock and total denial, Jen wonders how she is going to deal with the pain of seeing Max in school every day. Her misery only intensifies when her grandmother gives her a book that she heard about on the radio. Dr. Emerson's The Breakup Bible claims that "there's no reason a woman can't get over a breakup very quickly if she'll just follow a few basic commandments." Jen is doubtful. What does Dr. Emerson know about her and Max? (from Goodreads)
Rating: ★★★★
The Breakup Bible was a fun, fast-paced read. I actually found myself rooting for Jen to be happy and to move on from her heartache. But as we, girls and maybe some guys, know, it isn't always easy getting dumped. Especially if the guy/girl is your first love. Now I have to give big points to Melissa Kantor for making me feel like a teen again and going through the motions of how it would feel like to get dumped (I've never been dumped). Anyway, I highly recommend this book to whoever has been dumped and survived; You Go Girlfriend! You'll see what that means once you've read the book.

Book Blogger Hop! [Sept. 3-6, 2010]
In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop (hosted by Crazy-for-Books) is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!
This weeks question comes from Sarah @ SarahReadsTooMuch
Do you judge a book by its cover?
my answer: I've been guilty of doing so once or twice. I don't base that on if I should read the book or not though. I use reviews and/or the synopsis of the book in my decision to whether or not I want to read the book. The covers, though, are a huge factor in attracting me to the book.
